By Brian Leigh(Featured Columnist) on December 15, 2013 1,024 reads 5 Share Tweet Streeter Lecka/Getty Images Notre Dame fans can be forgiven for looking ahead: past Dec. 28's Pinstripe Bowl against Rutgers and toward the 2014 season, when Tommy Rees will be gone and Everett Golson will be back under center for the Irish. Golson led Notre Dame to the BCS National Championship Game as a redshirt freshman in 2012, but he was suspended from the university for academic reasons this May. On Friday, however, he was re-enrolled in the university, and he has spent this past season working with quarterback guru George Whitfield, so the year has not gone completely to waste. Because of his return and his supposed improvement, Notre Dame fans are understandably bullish about what next season might bear. Perhaps a little too bullish. So bullish, in fact, that if you search "Everett Golson Heisman" on Twitter, you find more than a handful of genuine support. But that might be a little too far. This is nothing against Golson, who was actually somehow underrated in leading Notre Dame to the national title game last season. More attention was focused on Manti Te'o and the Irish defense, but the offense was actually the only top-10 unit on the team, according to Football Outsiders' F/+ rankings. If he comes back improved next season—and even if he doesn't—Golson should be able to lead this team at a very high level. But the offense doesn't exactly need saving. Even with Rees under center, according to this year's F/+ rankings, the Irish have the 16th-best offense in America. In the past two years, only six other teams have placed in the top-16 in offensive F/+ twice: Alabama, Oregon, Texas A&M, Baylor, Ohio State and Georgia. Source: cfbstats.comFair or not—hint: the answer is not—the Heisman Trophy is an award that is predicated on statistics. Without meeting certain benchmarks and crossing certain thresholds, there is no way a player can win. The argument against that would be AJ McCarron's candidacy in 2013, playing in an offense that puts up similar numbers to Notre Dame's. But that, I fear, might have been the exception that proves the rule. This was a fluky year with just one true Heisman candidate, allowing a guy with McCarron's numbers to finish second as some sort of career achievement recognition. Is Everett Golson a Heisman Contender in 2014? Yes, definitely. Yes, but only if he's much improved. No, no matter what. In normal years, which there's no reason to believe 2014 won't be, a quarterback in Brian Kelly's offense will not put up enough stats to win the Heisman. Unless Kelly changes his offense, that is; but why would he do that? Despite its methodical pace and deflated quarterback stats, Notre Dame is on that rarefied list of most efficient offenses since 2012. There is no need for a change. The guy who wins the Heisman will likely be the quarterback of one those teams—the type that actually does put up giant passing stats. Jameis Winston will be back at Florida State; Marcus Mariota will be back at Oregon; even guys like Johnny Manziel and Teddy Bridgewater have yet to declare for the NFL draft. A field that deep, with that many options, all of whom play in prolific offenses, will not allow Golson to compete for a Heisman next season—no matter how much he has improved. Haugesund Damp innleidde westamaran-alderen i Rogaland med «Karmsund»n som blei sett inn i rute mellom Haugesund og Stavanger i januar i 1972. Stavangerske blei westamaran-rederi i juni 1972 da «Sauda» blei sett inn i Sauda-ruta. Den eksotiske «Mayflower» kom i oktober 1972. «Vingtor» fotografert pa ein god dag i 1975 pa veg fra Bergen. "The Sing-Off" has everything that makes a singing competition fun. “The Sing-Off” isn’t the most high-profile reality talent show on television. But who cares? Unlike its competition, NBC's a cappella contest is nothing but fun, from the introductory group medleys to the final send-off and everything in between. It may never replace “The Voice” or “American Idol” in the ratings, but "The Sing-Off" takes a back seat to nobody in the entertainment race. In fact, it’s the differences that make it awesome. Other singing shows are pressure-packed — for both performers and fans. Soloists are competing to become the next big thing in popular music, while judges tout everyone as a sure-fire star (but viewers never hear from them again). Staying on an additional week could mean the difference between superstardom and a career waiting tables, or so the impression goes. “The Sing-Off” stakes are nice, but not life-changing. Each group is competing for a $100,000 cash prize and a recording contract. While nobody’s turning down the coin (especially this year’s high-school act, Vocal Rush; that bankroll would make for an awesome prom), it doesn’t work out to a ton of money per person. The recording contract is nice, but it’s not leading anyone straight to the Grammys. Sure, the singers want to win, but there's not enough pressure in the mix to keep them from having fun at the same time. And because they’re having fun, so does the audience. It’s nice to see a singing show where everyone has to work together for something other than the brutal group performances that serve as filler on the other competitions. An a cappella concert is all about each singer playing their assigned role to perfection, and watching the group dynamics and choreography is a lot more fun than trying to find the vocals amid the smoke, background singers and elaborate sets of other shows. In Ben Folds, Jewel and Shawn Stockman, “The Sing-Off” has a trio of judges who treat contestants seriously but don’t make this out to be the Ultimate A Cappella Battle of Doom. Folds is made of awesome, looks like a professor and has both the specific advice and the arcane slang to match that image. (Here’s hoping that “loosey goosey” takes wider hold and replaces “pitchy” on all shows where vocals are critiqued.) Stockman’s his usual mix of praise and hard-nosed realism, while Jewel’s a great addition who adds both warmth and realism to the proceedings. All three judges add value — and more to the point, criticism. They’re not Pollyannas who tell everyone they’re awesome, and they’re not sarcastic jerks who are out to make themselves look entertaining by cutting down unknowns. They’re teaching people how to sing better ... a revolutionary concept. Also, you gotta love the lingo. On Wednesday’s episode, one of the contestant’s moms was an “acousti-cougar,” and the singer himself may have lost “acousti-street cred” because of it. NBC doesn’t have to worry about overexposure. “The Sing-Off” doesn’t run three months: Its seven episodes will be aired over a three-week period. You see it, you enjoy it and it goes away before you become sick of it. Singing shows eliminate contestants in various ways. Some just have their host use really long and dramatic pauses to raise the tension. Others make each contestant sing one more time and pick the one who did the best. “The Voice” lets viewers save someone by Twitter. But the ultimate sing-off is the best elimination tactic ever. Having the two worst performing groups sing portions of the same song avoids the look of desperation that viewers always see on those “sing for your life” shows. Going head-to-head makes for a fun way to end the show and leaves everyone in the viewing audience entertained at the finish. These are just a few of the reasons why “The Sing-Off” stands out as a show not to be missed. It’s entertaining right to the final note. "The Sing-Off" airs Monday at 10 p.m. on NBC. Grossman would not identify the missing boater. However, Kelly Broderick, a woman who identified herself as the man’s wife, said her husband, Edward Broderick, was missing. Kelly Broderick said as she watched the search that he last had contact with someone at 4 p.m. on Saturday and never showed up to meet a friend. En realite, elle a toujours ete l'objet de controverses entre scientifiques. On me demande souvent si j'admets l'existence du sexe biologique. Implicitement, on me dit: «Vraiment, il faudrait etre fou pour dire que cela n'existe pas.» Et, c'est vrai, le sexe biologique existe. Il n'est ni une fiction, ni un mensonge, ni une illusion. Simplement, sa definition necessite un langage et un cadre de pensee - autant de choses qui par principe peuvent etre contestees et qui le sont. Nous n'avons jamais une relation simple, transparente, indeniable au sexe biologique. Nous devons passer par un cadre discursif, et c'est ce processus qui interesse la theorie du genre. Les genres, ce sont aussi des normes, que vous critiquez. Les etudes de genre ne decrivent pas la realite de ce que nous vivons, mais les normes heterosexuelles qui pesent sur nous. Nous les avons recues par les medias, par les films ou par nos parents, nous les perpetuons a travers nos fantasmes et nos choix de vie. Elles nous disent ce qu'il faut faire pour etre un homme ou une femme. Nous devons sans cesse negocier avec elles. Certains d'entre nous les adorent et les incarnent avec passion. D'autres les rejettent. Certains les detestent mais s'y conforment. D'autres jouent de l'ambivalence... Je m'interesse a l'ecart entre ces normes et les differentes facons d'y repondre. Il se peut qu'existe une nature feminine, mais comment le savoir ? Et comment la definir? A l'instant meme ou nous commencons a en parler, nous nous devons d'argumenter, de defendre notre point de vue: le genre est toujours l'objet d'une discussion publique, ce n'est jamais une evidence donnee par la nature. Certes, je peux parler en tant que femme. Par exemple, je peux dire qu'en tant que femme je combats les discriminations qui pesent sur les femmes. Une telle formulation a un effet politique incontestable. Je pense aux personnes dont le genre ou la sexualite a ete rejetee et je voudrais aider a l'avenement d'un monde ou elles puissent respirer plus facilement. Prenez le cas de la bisexualite: la notion d'orientation sexuelle rend tres difficile d'aimer tantot un homme, tantot une femme - on vous dira qu'il faut choisir. Voyez encore la situation des «intersexes», les gens sexuellement ambigus ou indetermines: certains demandent que leur ambiguite soit acceptee comme telle et qu'ils n'aient pas a devenir homme ou femme. Comment faire pour les aider ? L'Allemagne vient de creer un troisieme genre dans les categories de l'administration. Voila une facon de rendre le monde plus vivable pour tout le monde. Peut-on se liberer du genre ? Certains plaident pour un monde ou le sexe ne serait plus qu'une variable secondaire, comme la couleur des cheveux ou la taille... Je n'ai jamais pense qu'il fallait un monde sans genre, un monde post-genre, de meme que je ne crois pas a un monde post-racial. Nous avons besoin de normes pour que le monde fonctionne, mais nous pouvons chercher des normes qui nous conviennent mieux. Dans les pays occidentaux, la droite et meme l'extreme droite utilisent le theme de l'homosexualite pour denoncer l'islam et l'accuser d'homophobie. Vous avez critique les lois francaises interdisant le port du voile islamique a l'ecole et celui de la burqa. Pourtant, c'est un exemple manifeste de discrimination liee au genre... Je ne comprends pas la fixation francaise sur ce sujet. Le voile peut certes etre un signe de soumission, mais c'est aussi un signe d'appartenance a une famille, a une religion, a un pays d'origine, a une communaute. Contraindre une femme a oter le voile, c'est l'obliger a se couper de ses attaches, a se deraciner. Certes, on peut juger que s'arracher a son milieu d'origine est une bonne chose, mais ce n'est pas a l'Etat d'en faire une norme obligatoire. Enlever le voile, pour une musulmane, ce doit etre un choix, comme le mariage pour un couple gay: personne ne vous oblige a vous marier, mais on vous en donne la possibilite. Voetbalnieuws TweeNul. Uitgegeven: 15 december 2013 20. LEEK - Gisteren stond de laatste wedstrijd van voor de winterstop op het programma voor het vlaggenschip van VEV'67. Ditmaal moesten de sabels ( lees: degens ) gekruist worden met VIBOA uit Winsum. Voor de niet insiders, VIBOA staat voor: “Voetballen Is Bij Ons Aangenaam”. Voor VEV’67 zou het echter ook een aangename middag kunnen worden wanneer de drie/zes punten in Leek zouden blijven. Omdat het de laatste thuiswedstrijd was voor VEV’67 in 2013 was er een afsluitende avond georganiseerd met een optreden van de band de “Riot Writers” met onder andere Wouter van der Galien in de gelederen en als klap op de vuurpijl een spectaculaire vuurwerkshow van Profile Wagenaar. Vanwege de vroeg invallende duisternis was er overleg geweest tussen de hoge heren en was besloten om de kick off te verplaatsen naar 14.00 uur. Om kwart voor een was de aftrap tussen VEV’67 2 en VIBOA 2, een opwarmer voor de supporters voor het duel van 14.00 uur. Op het kunstgrasveld was de eerste helft van VEV’67 2 niet denderend maar stond het wel voor met 2-0. Zou dit de opmaat zijn voor een schitterende middag? Op het gewone gras zou de hoofdschotel van de middag plaatsvinden waarbij assistent trainer Jonathan Klok verstek moest laten gaan vanwege een lekkage in huis. Desondanks waren de andere trainers er uiteraard in geslaagd om weer een degelijk team op het papier te zetten. Lars Jellinek was terug van een schorsing en ook Alexander Goos was weer van de partij. Na de toss was in ieder geval duidelijk dat VEV’67 de eerste helft van de kantine af zou spelen. Meteen na de aftrap waren de bedoelingen duidelijk van VIBOA en probeerde het VEV’67 vroeg onder druk te zetten om de opbouw te verstoren. In die beginfase kwam de thuisploeg goed weg na een aanval over rechts waarbij het schot van VIBOA goed was maar via de buitenkant van de paal naast ging. De volgende kans, nog steeds in de absolute beginfase, was voor VEV’67. Na een vlotte aanval via Koert Thalen belandde de bal voor de voeten van Rense Dijk die een op het oog niet te missen kans kreeg. De inzet was goed maar recht op de keeper af zodat deze de vroege voorsprong voor VEV’67 met een puike redding wist te voorkomen. De daarop volgende kans was voor Vincent de Koning die ditmaal vanuit een moeilijk hoek niet wist te scoren en de bal hoog voorlangs schoot. Na dit spectaculaire begin waarbij het vuurwerk al op het veld plaatsvond waren de ploegen redelijk aan elkaar gewaagd. VIBOA was met corners en een schot gevaarlijk maar wist het Klaas Kleiker niet echt te verontrusten. VEV’67 wist daar qua kansen niet veel tegenover te stellen. Net voor het half uur moest de goalie van VEV’67 handelend optreden op een venijnig schot. In de linkerhoek wist Klaas Kleiker de bal via de vingertoppen naast te tikken voor een hoekschop. Na 30 minuten spelen had Thijs Tjoelker een prachtige steekbal op Rense Dijk in petto. De uitgelopen doelman van VIBOA probeerde de bal voor de voeten van Rense Dijk weg te tikken, maar was een fractie van een seconde te laat, waardoor hij niet de bal maar Rense Dijk onderuit gleed, die gretig naar het gras ging. De arbiter van dienst kon niets anders doen dan de bal op de stip te leggen. Rense Dijk eiste de bal op om zelf de penalty te nemen en faalde niet: 1-0. daarna wilde VEV’67 die stand vast houden tot aan de rust. In de blessuretijd van de 1ste helft kwamen de gastheren echter goed weg want VIBOA was een aantal keren dicht bij de gelijkmaker. Via twee aanvallen over de flanken werd de bal hard voorgetrokken maar was er geen speler in de buurt die zijn schoen er tegenaan kon krijgen. Zonder het nodige geluk vaart niemand wel, zodat toch met een 1-0 voorsprong de kleedkamer opgezocht kon worden. In de rust werd duidelijk dat Ton Baan naar de kant werd gehaald en Alexander Goos binnen de lijnen zou komen. Koert Thalen zou daardoor naar een andere linie verhuizen. In het begin van de tweede helft was er weinig aanvalsdrift van beide ploegen totdat na een klein kwartier in de tweede bedrijf VEV’67 de wedstrijd leek gaan te beslissen. De ingevallen Alex Goos wist met een slim balletje Jacob Tjoelker te bereiken. De linksbenige Tjoelker kapte zichzelf knap vrij om met zijn linker hard uit te halen van buiten de zestien. Met een vlammend en zuiver schot in de linker beneden hoek van de keeper gaf hij de goalie geen schijn van kans en met zijn eerste doelpunt ooit in de hoofdmacht van VEV’67 zette hij de 2-0 tussenstand op het bord. Een opsteker van jewelste die nog groter zou worden want de volgende kans was wederom raak. Via een vlijmscherpe counter werd Gerhard van den Berg bereikt die in zijn ooghoeken de mee opgekomen Rense Dijk vrij zag lopen. Met een buitenkantje rechts ging hij voor de 100 procent kans die door Dijk verzilverd werd. De puntgave voorzet werd namelijk door de spits keurig binnengewerkt voor de 3-0 en denkelijk definitieve beslissing. De wedstrijd ging in het slot en VIBOA geloofde er niet echt meer in gezien de irritatie die in de ploeg sloop. De aanvalsdrang van VEV’67 ebde ook weg waardoor het voor de toeschouwers minder spannend werd. Toch zou Rense Dijk de handen nog op elkaar krijgen door een schot dat over ging en een kans waarbij hij een Ronaldo-achtige pirouet maakte om daarna in de korte hoek binnen te schieten. De prima inzet werd door de doelman onschadelijk gemaakt door de bal met een goede reflex corner te tikken. De moe gestreden Vincent de Koning werd vervangen door Jeffrey Visser die zijn invalsbeurt glans gaf door voor de 4-0 te zorgen. In de omschakeling was het Jacob Tjoelker die een crosspass gaf op Visser die met zijn snelheid zijn directe tegenstander het nakijken gaf. Met een diagonaal schot in de bovenhoek gaf hij de verbouwereerde goalie het nakijken en kon er opnieuw gejuicht worden voor een doelpunt. Dit was de nekslag voor VIBOA dat de handdoek in de ring had geworpen. Met het verstrijken van de tijd begon VEV’67 de bal rond te tikken en werd het houden van de nul door Klaas Kleiker heilig verklaard. De mannen uit Winsum probeerden er nog iets van te maken maar de lange ballen waren de defensie van VEV’67 op het lijf geschreven met de kopsterke Lars Jellinek als slot op de deur. Op het einde van de wedstrijd raakten de gemoederen nog even verhit na een tackle op Thijs Tjoelker. Het opstootje werd in de kiem gesmoord door de teams zelf die ook wel door hadden dat dat geen enkele zin had. Beide teams staan namelijk allebei faliekant achter het motto “zonder respect geen voetbal” waardoor snel de handen weer werden geschud. Meteen na dit opstootje vond de scheidsrechter het welletjes en floot voor het einde van de wedstrijd zodat opnieuw de handen werden geschud. Na het douchen werd de kantine opgezocht. De wedstrijd werd geanalyseerd en de conclusie was toch wel dat het de eerste helft ook heel anders had kunnen lopen. In plaats van de 1-0 had het ook zomaar 0-1 kunnen staan voor VIBOA dat absoluut geen slechte ploeg heeft. De tweede helft was duidelijk in het voordeel van VEV’67 geweest met twee goede wissels. VIBOA wist zich geen kans te creeren en de 4-0 was wel een terechte uitslag op basis van de tweede helft. Iedereen was in zijn nopjes met dit mooie resultaat voor de winterstop. Het tweede elftal had eveneens zijn wedstrijd gewonnen. Het uitspelende derde elftal kwam terug en had zijn wedstrijd ook weten te winnen met maar liefst 5-2. Aangezien de directe concurrent van het derde had verloren, mag het derde elftal zich “herbstmeister” noemen. Jacob Tjoelker kon terugzien op een prima match en zijn prachtige eerste goal in het eerste elftal. Onder de begeleiding van de band werd er met gepaste trots gekeken naar de ranglijsten van het 1e, 2e en 3e elftal die het buitengewoon goed doen. Tegen zeven uur stroomde de kantine vol om te genieten van een prachtige vuurwerkshow. Ein Gedanke, den man gar nicht weiterdenken mochte, so Burgermeister Michael Thater bei der Verleihung der ersten Ehrenamtsnadeln der Stadt am Donnerstag. In Eva Maurer, Dagmar und Werner Eckert, Klaus Ruthe, Klaus Felber und Bernhard Gerstle wurden sechs Burger geehrt, die sich uber Jahrzehnte ehrenamtlich engagiert haben. Selbst Ministerprasident Winfried Kretschmann habe bei seinem Besuch im vergangenen Jahr festgestellt, dass Wehr eine Stadt ist, die besonders vom Ehrenamt gepragt sei. "Die Lebensqualitat unserer Stadt wird stark vom Ehrenamt gepragt, auch wenn es oft im Verborgenen stattfindet", befand Thater. In der zweiten Reihe werde haufig viel Arbeit geleistet, die in der Offentlichkeit kaum wahrgenommen werde. In den Geehrten wurden fur die erste Verleihung der dritthochsten Auszeichnung der Stadt – nach Ehrenburgerschaft und Ehrenmedaille – allerdings sechs ausgesucht, deren Engagement in den zuruckliegenden Jahrzehnten wohl kaum jemandem in der Stadt verborgen geblieben sein durfte. Zum Dank bekamen sie eine Nadel aus purem Silber mit dem Stadtwappen darauf. Vor Stadtraten, Familienangehorigen und Freunden der Geehrten uberreichte Thater die Ehrennadeln im Burgersaal des Alten Schlosses. Ein Klarinettenquartett der Stadtmusik spielte. Eva Maurer war die erste, die ausgezeichnet wurde. Es sei das Jahrhundert der Frauen, daher sei diese Reihenfolge nur konsequent, so Thater. Maurers Engagement sei der Prototyp fur das Ehrenamt. Sie habe sich ihr ganzes Leben lang fur andere eingesetzt. Maurer war stellvertretende Vorsitzende der Sing- und Spielgruppe Wehratal. Sie sa? mehr als 30 Jahre im Pfarrgemeinderat, hat das Dachlefest ins Leben gerufen, war von 1983 bis 1994 Stadtratin und backt seit drei Jahrzehnten Jahr fur Jahr zwischen 200 und 300 Linzertorten, die sie fur den guten Zweck verkauft. Dagmar und Werner Eckert sind fur Thater eigentlich nur gemeinsam denkbar. Uber Jahrzehnte hinweg seien sie kirchlich engagiert und hatten dabei uber den Tellerrand geschaut. Das Indienprojekt der evangelischen Gemeinde Oflingen ware ohne die beiden nicht denkbar. Mit der Grundung des Vereins Eine Welt und der Offnung des Weltladens in Wehr hatten Eckerts ihr Engagement aus der Kirche in die Gesellschaft getragen. "Wenn in Wehr von Ehrenamt die Rede ist, dann fallt den meisten Leuten sofort die Feuerwehr ein", stellte Thater fest, dass die Freiwillige Feuerwehr einen besonderen Status in der Stadt genie?t. Und beim Thema Feuerwehr falle vielen wiederum der Name Klaus Felber ein. Seit 1969 dabei, davon 32 Jahre in leitenden Funktionen, etwa als Stadtkommandant, und seit 2008 als stellvertretender Kreisbrandmeister. Von den etwa 100 Feuerwehrleuten in Wehr hatte sicher jeder die Ehrenamtsnadel verdient, aber Felber sei nun einmal der Mister Feuerwehr. Klaus Ruthe sei auch durch seinen Beruf als Einzelhandler zum Ehrenamt gekommen. 40 Jahre war er Kassierer der Servicegemeinschaft Wehr (SGW). Da konne man auf den Gedanken kommen, dass er das Amt vor allem ausgeubt habe, weil er sich berufliche Vorteile versprach. Es gebe in der Stadt aber etwa 120 weitere Einzelhandler, die nicht unbedingt so engagiert gewesen seien wie Ruthe, der auch 39 Mal den Nikolausmarkt organisierte. Die SGW, die Stadt und die Burger haben Ruthe laut Thater viel zu verdanken. Bernhard Gerstle war die Nummer sechs auf der Ehrungsliste, die aber keine Rangliste war. In den 70er Jahren habe Gerstle sein kirchliches Engagement begonnen, das damals stark vom Thema der Integration der italienischen Gastarbeiter gepragt gewesen sei, blickte Thater zuruck. Diese Integration sei auch dank Gerstles in Wehr voll gelungen. Erst kurzlich wurde Gerstle, der einer der Grundervater der Sozialstation St. Martin ist, fur 25 Jahre als Diakon geehrt. Die Sozialstation habe er auch durch sturmische Zeiten mit ruhiger Hand gefuhrt. Gerstle sprach die Schlussworte fur alle Geehrten und bedankte sich dafur, dass er immer Helfer gefunden habe. Apres plus de 1600 representations, tant en Europe qu'aux Etats-Unis, le succes de Traces ne semble pas s'essouffler.Gypsy Snider, cofondatrice des 7 doigts, n'aurait jamais pense que Traces serait toujours a l'affiche sept ans apres sa creation. «C'est une piece qui a ete faite sur mesure pour les cinq interpretes de la premiere mouture. Pour nous, Traces, c'etait Will, Heloise, Francisco, Raf et Brad. «On s'est dit qu'apres eux, ce serait fini», confie-t-elle. Pourtant, Les 7 doigts de la main a mis sur pied la cinquieme equipe de Traces l'automne dernier. Au plus fort de la popularite du spectacle, il y a deux ans, deux distributions de Traces etaient en place. Une qui tournait en Europe, l'autre qui se produisait a New York, a l'Union Square Theater. Comment expliquer le succes de cette piece que le magazine Time a consacree, il y a deux ans, dans son top 10 des spectacles incontournables de l'annee? Gypsy Snider estime que la cle est dans le rapport qui se cree entre le public et les interpretes. «Le public se retrouve face a sept interpretes, qui se revelent a eux petit a petit. Ils jouent, ils dansent, ils font de la musique. C'est tres exigeant acrobatiquement, explique-t-elle. En fait, il y a peu de gens capables de faire Traces.» Et pourtant, chaque fois, Les 7 doigts trouve ces perles rares. «La verite, c'est que meme s'il s'agit du meme spectacle, chaque fois qu'on change la distribution, on a un nouveau show, poursuit Gypsy Snider. A cause des talents et de la personnalite des interpretes, qui teintent le spectacle. C'est ca qui est extraordinaire. Les artistes de cirque font leur entree sur scene a la suite de ce qui pourrait etre un cataclysme. Ils se presentent dans un lieu inhabite et desincarne. Durant l'heure et demie qui suit, ils s'affairent a colorer cet espace. En s'exprimant artistiquement. Pour laisser une trace... Une des nouvelles recrues de la troupe s'appelle Hou Kai, acrobate chinois de 21 ans, specialiste de diabolo. C'est lui qui remplacera Xia Zhengqi, qui faisait partie de la distribution new-yorkaise. «Il est le deuxieme enfant d'une famille qui a du payer plus de 10 000 $ pour le garder, explique Gypsy Snider. Il a une dette envers ses parents. Dans Traces, il parle de ca. Chaque interprete se livre au public. C'est ce qui fait qu'a la fin du spectacle, on a un peu l'impression de connaitre les interpretes. Pendant toute la duree du spectacle, on voit le temps filer. C'est un des themes importants du spectacle, qui explique l'urgence d'agir de ses interpretes. «Ca revient a deux mots: carpe diem, souligne Gypsy Snider. A ce moment present qu'on veut vivre pleinement. C'est a la base de Traces. Du 17 decembre au 4 janvier a la TOHU. C'est le premier numero du spectacle. L'unique fille du groupe se detache des six garcons. Un detail important dans Traces. «Il fallait une heroine pour faire contrepoids a un groupe de garcons, explique Gypsy Snider. Il ne s'agit pas d'un duo classique amour-haine ou les partenaires s'attirent et se repoussent. Plutot la reconnaissance d'une possibilite entre deux etrangers, precise Gypsy Snider. On sait que le temps qui s'ecoule pendant le spectacle induit un sentiment d'urgence. Mais pendant ce duo, le temps est suspendu. Les gestes sont plus langoureux. C'est le seul numero qui echappe au sablier. Anne-Marie Godin et Diego Rodarte feront ce duo. Il s'agit d'un des plus beaux numeros de Traces. Une jeune fille lit un livre sur un fauteuil inclinable. Absorbee par sa lecture, elle multiplie les figures acrobatiques dans ce fauteuil qui bascule de tous les cotes. C'est Heloise Bourgeois, premiere interprete de Traces en 2006, qui a imagine ce numero dans le vieux La-Z-Boy qu'elle avait dans son appartement. «C'etait une belle image, explique Gypsy Snider, parce que non seulement il y a la trace de l'auteur qui a ecrit le livre, mais aussi celle qu'il laisse chez son lecteur. C'est un geste tres quotidien, mais qui montre qu'on peut etre touche par l'art.» Apres Valerie Benoit-Charbonneau (qui etait a New York), ce sera au tour d'Anne-Marie Godin d'executer ce numero. C'est le dernier numero de Traces. Le temps continue de s'ecouler. Il ne reste que cinq minutes avant la fin du spectacle. C'est un moment de tension et de fragilite. Les sept interpretes multiplient les sauts acrobatiques dans ces anneaux montes les uns sur les autres, qui peuvent tomber au moindre coup de vent. «C'est une discipline qui colle bien au scenario, nous dit Gypsy Snider. Les interpretes s'elancent dans une ultime tentative d'echapper a la fin.» Les artistes peuvent se reprendre jusqu'a trois fois s'ils ratent. A Tommy Blackburn treble steered Rosette to a crucial win at fellow relegation battlers Flixton. Striker Blackburn opened the scoring in the 10th minute, but James Hughes levelled for the home side - despite appearing to accidentally foul a Rosette defender in the process. Jamie Wray restored Rosette’s lead before half-time with a strong shot that the home keeper allowed to squirm through his hands. Blackburn made it 3-1 early in the second half, but Flixton pulled another goal back when veteran Gary Maw pounced after a shot had only been partially saved by Rosette man of the match Mikey Harland. The home side were then denied a leveller by a stunning save from Harland, and this proved crucial as Blackburn went on to complete his hat-trick and secure the points. Centre-backs Craig Sherwin and Rich Garton were the only home players to impress. Newlands Park Reserves’ title bid was dented by a 1-1 draw at home to Scalby, who finished the game with only nine men due to injuries. The home side dominated the first half, but they failed to finish off any of their numerous chances and Sean Scales made them pay for it when he calmly finished to put the villagers in front. As Park continued to pile on the pressure after the interval it looked like Scalby would hang on, but with 20 minutes remaining the hosts were awarded a penalty and Luke Delve tucked it away. Scalby then had to play the latter stages of the game with only nine men when they were hit by a couple of injuries. James Tadman was named as the Park man of the match. Leaders Edgehill Reserves secured a 5-1 win at Cayton, mainly thanks to a second-half hat-trick from super-sub Tom Scales. A back-header by JP Watson from Jason Prosser’s flick-on put Edgehill in front and the visitors made it 2-0 through Prosser. Scales was brought on as a sub in the 65th minute and he scored with his first touch after more good work from Prosser. An error from stand-in keeper Dave Bell allowed Cayton to pull a goal back, but two further goals from Scales secured the win for the away side, his hat-trick goal coming after a fine pass from Lee Dennis. Right-back Tony Pickles and right-sided midfielder Prosser shared the Edgehill man-of-the-match award. A Daz Arnott hat-trick helped Scalby Reserves earn a 6-3 win at home to Cayton Reserves. Arnott also set up two goals to cap a fine display, with Taylor Durden scoring twice and marauding centre-back Karl Hansell - who also weighed in with an assist - completing the scoring for the victors. Ayton Reserves earned a 2-1 home win against Westover Reserves despite a spot of bother for their player-manager Mark Plumpton, who conceded two penalties. After a goalless first half, John Grayston drilled in a shot to give Ayton the lead. Sub Travis Wood then earned a penalty for his side after he was adjudged to have been fouled in the area by Plumpton, and Wood dusted himself down to fire in the spot-kick. Ten minutes from time keeper Tom Peacock launched a clearance upfield and it bounced over the Wasps defence to find Tyson Stubbings, who lobbed the stand-in Westover keeper Sean Hope. In the 88th minute, Wood was handed a chance to earn a point for his team when Plumpton was penalised again, this time the ball hitting his arm and the referee pointing to the spot. This time man of the match Peacock made a fine save to earn his side the three points. Left-back Ryan Wood was the Wasps man of the match, with Neal Castleton and Sean Thornton also having good games. A Mikey Day hat-trick fired Commercial to a 5-0 home win against Seamer Sports Reserves. Day opened the scoring five minutes before half-time and then three goals in the first seven minutes of the second half killed the game off. Striker Day chipped the Seamer keeper to make it 2-0, then, from a short corner, Ryan Somers set up Jackson Jowett, whose curling shot into the top corner gave the keeper no chance.
